Arrests and convictions for offences relating to child pornography on the internet have more than quadrupled in just two years.

Home Office figures have shown such crimes have risen 307 per cent since 2001.

They show 2,234 paedophiles were cautioned or charged with crimes in England and Wales in 2003, compared with 549 two years earlier.

The 2003 figure is 64 times the 35 offences recorded in 1998, the year when the legal framework for child pornography crimes was established.

And there was a year-on-year rise between 2002 and 2003 of 157 per cent.

Dozens of children were sold by their parents to the ringleaders of a massive child sex abuse ring in France, it has been claimed.

The country is bracing itself for the grim details of the allegations as the trial of 66 people charged with the rape and abuse of dozens of children begins later.

The trial has been described as the biggest court case in modern French history.

It will include allegations that some parents sold their own children for sex, sometimes for as little as a packet of cigarettes.

The jury will hear that children as young as six months old were involved in the paedophile ring. (Ages of victims range from six months old to 12 years old).

A total of 39 men and 27 women are standing trial.

A comment on the politics of the "gay" agenda words. Pro-homos would call a person who is anti-pro-homosexuality "full of hate," but they don't slap on such a label on people who torture children. And they never slap on the label if any criminal is a homo or pro-homo. Pro-homos are such garbage of people with their little language games.
