Discovery - Cézanne painting based on Anguissola's!
Look what I found! Apparently Cézanne had painted a Phillip II portrait inspired by Anguissola's original.
Just kidding, actually I was playing around with Photoshop. But see what I mean with my comment that these cleaner 16th century portraits are like seeds of the 20th century modern style?
