Gay New Yorkers shocked by McGreevey's resignation

NEW YORK - (KRT) - It didn't take long after New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey came out on national television for gays everywhere to hail him as their newfound hero.
Friends called and e-mailed friends, heralding the news and repeating the line, "I am a gay American" as if it was a war cry.
"Listen, people, it's okay to be gay," said Dion James, 28, who was shopping in New York's Chelsea neighborhood. "Gov. McGreevey just turned this into a great day for every gay man and woman in this country."
I don´t think it is OK to be homosexual, nor to cheat, lie, have affairs, sexually harass, employ corrupt politicians. Homosexuals are desperate to legimitize their homosexuality (and whatever lack of ethics that´s involved in it), so they are necessarily blind to every aspect of life and behavior, except the fanatical sexual orientation aspect. A corrupt, unethical man is propped up as a hero, because he had a high government post and is playing the "feel sorry for me" card, in order not to be held accountable for how much he stinks in every aspect of his personality and job.
How can a man that lies his entire life to everyone around him be called forthright is a sign of how in denial pro-homosexuals are.
