The McGreevey Scandal - There is nothing about homosexuality that makes anyone good

My view is completely different than the “I don´t care about what gets done or with whom people.” I think the McGreevey scandal shows just what a mistake this self-serving blindness about personal attitudes and behaviors are.

We don’t know why McGreevey put this guy´s family at risk, and everyone else in NJ, by hiring Cipel, but apparently it has everything to do with McGreevey´s homosexuality.

People are always mixing personal attitudes, attitudes about sex and personal relations, about the opposite sex, or same sex in every sphere of their lives. What a man thinks about other men will be the groundstone for his actions regarding every man around him. If he has homosexual attitudes that sustain he must have his sexual homo kicks with other men, he can sexually harass, he can make favors to other homos, he can fire people who are not pro-homosexual, he can lie, cheat, blackmail and be subjected to blackmail, he can aggressively behave regarding his homosexuality, he can be involved in degrading relationships, etc.

When people say, I don´t care if he is gay, I don’t care what he does in his private life, they are being blind to all of the above. The personal has never been and will never be separate from the social and public sphere. In a healthy, heterosexual individual, even though it is not separate, one doesn´t think and behave in ways that are grievious towards others, even though you carry your sexual and personal attitudes everywhere you go. I don´t think that homosexuality is healthy, therefore I don´t believe there can be anything such as a healthy homosexual, even though that does not mean any homo will necessarily engage in criminal, sleazy behavior.

When people say, I don´t care if he is gay, they are being blind to every problematic and harmful attitude and behavior human beings can have in the same sex sphere from homosexuals. This is the result of homosexist society. The Jim McGreevey scandal is educational because it´s a grand display of how much harm one can do because of their (homo)sexuality.

A reporter in the media said, “ We didn´t want to go after McGreevey´s homo possibilities more incisively, because we didn´t want to be seen as homophobic.” If NJ blows up or has something happen to it because of the lack of security created in this weird homo scandal, the blame is not only on homo Mr. McGreevey, but the voters and the media who are wimpy to investigate lifestyles, attitudes and behaviors that affect more than a couple of lives in the personal sphere.

This only goes to show that people´s attitudes and actions are all important, it´s not just the public actions that count. In fact, a good deal of a person´s most important actions are all in the interpersonal sphere.

I don´t believe McGreevey´s current wife didn´t know until recently that he is a homosexual. In fact, until further proof, I´m not totally sure yet he is either homosexual or bisexual, given that there are so many big player issues involved with McGreevey and his political career. By the secrecy of the reasons for his first divorce, it seems to me, that a very plausible reason is that his first wife found out McGreevey was having some sleazy homo affair. The picture I imagine is that he lied and betrayed her on many levels. Whether Dina McGreevey married him knowing about his homosexuality or not, we have no clues, but the PR spin put out that she is a naïve woman in shock over his homo disclosure seems a completely fabricated spin to me.

Also educational are all the other aspects of this case. McGreevey, if gay, is involved in several corrupt and unethical maneuvers. There is the Cipel appointment sleaze fest, whether there is a component of sexual harassment or not. Summing it all up, a lesson in how disgusting a man can be and he is gay. For all the homo-PR spinners who have been responsible for fabricating an endless stream of victim stereotypes of homosexuals, and lying about all the real homosexual people that don´t fit these stereotypes, this is like a get real about what gays are slap in the face. This is why the military want them out, this is why it is terrible they prevail in academia. There is nothing about homosexuality that makes anyone good. McGreevey is a great lesson at that. This is also a beautiful example of just how far reaching one´s personal attitudes are and why we should care about them and their consequences.
