McGreevey - being gay is not a disgrace, unless you find lack of character and corruption a disgrace
- "There will be a lot of people now saying, `I can't believe I voted for a gay guy,'" mused John McGrath, 29, of West New York, N.J. "Maybe that will open their eyes to the fact that being gay is not a disgrace, it's not a crippling disease."
Being gay is a dysfunction and homos cannot be stereotyped into any particular thing, much less as "good" people. It is a crippling disease in the sense that it does not allow humans to have a fulfilled, healthy heterosexuality. It is a disease when people start to be blind to every aspect of a person´s psychology, ethics, and character, and simply want to applaud them because they are homosexual.
The question is, if a heterosexual politician who set up one or more of his lovers/prostitutes as high paid security advisors was faced with an impending lawsuit after one of these lover/prostitutes failed to extort a huge amount of money for the (unethical) sexual relations, and the politician resigned stating he was doing it because he cared so much about the people and office of his state, would he be called corageous?
