Tom Jones, gyms, and diseased sexualities

However, what specially caught my eye when comparing Jones' performances from the 60's (?), 70's, and 80's with the junk that is on MTV today was that there was no vulgarity. Look at this performance by Tom Jones where he sways his hips. Look at how the women are dancing in the video. Compare that with what you see by Madonna, all the (c)rap junk of people, and so many of today's biggest slutty “performers.” Look at the lyrics Chris Rocks talks about in this video clip about misogynist (c)rap. Take one of these older Tom Jones videos and compare it with these so-called “hot” videos, one of them, the highest rated “hot” video in the British Sun tabloid: Alex Gaudino- Destination Calabria; or Pepe Deluxe: Pussy Cat Rock; or Sunblock Feat: Sandy - Baby Baby; or Eric Prydz - Call On Me. (I don't know how to link directly to each individual video. Here's the Sun's video page. Click on the MORE tab until you see the Jukebox tab. Click on the Jukebox tab to see a listing of music video clips. Search for the ones mentioned above.) Look at the women in the videos with Tom Jones back then and look at them now. The problem with the Tom Jones era was that women were highly demeaned by being treated like stupid little dolls, so much so that it was hard to tell some of them apart from life-size Barbie dolls. In today's severely pornographied culture, women behaving like prostitutes are not sleazy, they are “hot;” people don't have a homosexual dysfunction, they are “gay;” sexual degradation is not a collective destructive praxis, it is “liberation.”
